# Settings

**Your Account, Secured by [Clerk](http://clerk.com/)**

Lurk uses **Clerk** to provide a secure and seamless authentication experience. Clerk handles all aspects of your account management, including sign-up, sign-in, and profile security.

**How to Manage Your Account**

When you need to update your personal information or security settings, you can access your account portal directly from the Lurk dashboard.

1. Click on your **profile icon** in the top-right corner of the header.
2. Select **"Manage Account"** from the dropdown menu.

**This will open the Clerk user profile interface, where you can:**

* Change your name or profile picture.
* Update your primary email address.
* Manage your password and other security settings.
* View active sessions and sign out from other devices.

By integrating with Clerk, we ensure that your account is protected by industry-standard security practices.
